Race and Health Levels
A look a minority health status in the United States
Conclusion
Health disparities among racial, ethnic and other underserved is rampant throughout our society. Current research has inferred the direct correlation between race and health disparities, though they have not controlled for this specific factor. It has been determined that many different factors work together in order to create these disparities, such as income, socioeconomic standing and culture. These factors make understanding the direct effect of race on health disparities difficult. More research needs to be conducted in order to separate out the causal factors, which will allow for the development of programs, interventions and legislation that reaches the heart of the problem.
